This season StanceFind™ has been installed at Big White Mountain Ski and Snowboard Resort in Kelowna, British Columbia. The first resort in Canada to endorse the machine.
Late in the season last year Lindsay Bennett from Big White contacted Sean about the machine
after viewing the measurement process on You Tube.
Lindsay was so impressed with what he saw and from the description of the principles behind StanceFind™ that Sean gave, that he bought a machine without even standing on it, such was his conviction that this is the way forward for snowboarding science.
Since its installation in Dizzy's Big White Ski Shop, the response has been phenomenal.

A big thank you to Lindsay and Suzie Bennett and all the folks at Big White

We have been away for a while but now we're back, still bringing science to snowboarding stance.
Sean is now based in Jasper, Alberta, running the snowboard programme at Marmot Basin.
Rayma and Andrew have relocated to Plymouth, Devon in an attempt to earn some cash to keep this venture going.

Bibian Mentel the 2008 female Adaptive Snowboard World Champion met with Sean MacCarron at Copper Mt. during the USASA Nationals in April. Bibian was racing in the Alpine Slalom and Giant Slalom events that Sean had set the courses for. After all the racing was done our intrepid champion of the cause Mr SuperMac himself got Bibian to check out her stance on the StanceFind™ machine which was installed in the Copper Mtn. Race Department.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Bibian's story, she was 6th in the world for Boardercross before she lost her lower leg to bone cancer. 4 months after her surgery, Bibian bounced back with more motivation then ever and is now reclaiming her ranking.
She represented "Adaptive Action Sports" at the X Games as a fore runner in the Women's Halfpipe Finals which took place Sunday Jan 27th 2008! In early March 08, Bibian took 1st place at the Adaptive Snowboard World Cup in Canada. Then in the very first Adaptive Snowboarding World Championship and the USASA Nationals at Copper Mtn in April she repeated her success by winning both.

The British Association of Snowsport Instructors - BASI, have endorsed the StanceFind™ machine and the principles behind it. After successful trials and technical discussions with BASI Snr. Snowboard Trainer Mark Bishop, it was agreed by CEO Peter Kuwall that BASI would happily endorse StanceFind™. To add to this, Peter thereby agreed to introduce StanceFind™ into BASI's snowboard instructor courses from 2008 onwards. After experiencing StanceFind™ for himself, Mark said, "This machine scientifically endorses everything BASI currently uses, whilst training would be instructors, to set up a stance."

Hi All
Just wanted to share some news and a few photos from our recent trip to Munich with the StanceFind™ machine.
We had a fantastic show culminating with the BrandNew finalist award presented at the end of the four day exhibition. The BrandNew competition is the world's largest start up competition in the sporting goods industry.
Think of the UK ski show and multiply by 17 and you will just about grasp the size of the event - immense is all I can say.
Most of the major snowboard brands - Burton, Salomon, K2, Nidecker, Head, Elan etc etc - visited our stand, having heard about us on the grapevine.
Add Intersport, Sport 2000 and Decathlon to name but a few, plus numerous independents and multitudes of media reporters and we were ensured of a busy 4 days.
Munich is a fabulous city and we met some lovely people.
Many thanks go to everyone at ISPO BrandNew, particularly the BrandNew bar staff – they really looked after us! Special thanks to Jakob Schreyer for his support and for encouraging us to enter the competition in the first place.
Now back in the UK trying to digest what has transpired in order to formulate a plan of action for the next couple of months.
Here's a few shots from the event
StanceFind™ coming to a store near you soon! -
