I met Sean at Marmot Basin, AB and had my stance adjusted using his StanceFind machine before heading out to snowboard the New Zealand season. Prior to having my stance fine-tuned, I would feel fatigued after only a weekend of riding and would have leg soreness for days afterwards. My IT band syndrome would also often flare up, making it painful to even bend my knees slightly. I was going to be training 5 days a week for 10 weeks in New Zealand, and I was very worried that my legs and knees would not be able to handle that amount of riding. I was sceptical that the stance adjustments would be able to alleviate my problems, especially considering that I was going to be training much more intensely than I ever had. However, with my new stance, I had no problems whatsoever. I immediately felt very balanced and comfortable on my board, and was able to ride 5 hours a day, day in and day out, on groomers, in the park and off-piste, with minimal fatigue. My IT bands did not flare up even once, and I did not miss any training days. I was amazed and impressed, and am very grateful to Sean for helping me find the perfect stance. I am quite certain that I would not have lasted the season without it. I would highly recommend the StanceFind machine to all snowboarders, but particularly to anyone who experiences knee pain when they ride!

The StanceFind was amazing! It's incredible how much it helped and improved my riding. Before, my riding put alot of strain on my ankles and often left me in pain which effected turning. Now having used the StanceFind this has stopped any aches and pains that was caused, my riding is now alot smoother and i'm getting alot more performance from my board. Would recommend it to everyone!

Before using the StanceFind I would have my bindings set up however they came on the board. I found that when snowboarding my front foot and knee would often ache and feel like my movement was restricted. After using the StanceFind my snowboarding instantly became more comfortable and I was able to get a much greater range of movement in my lower body. since changing my stance my snowboarding has really improved!

My stance changed a lot but it was surprisingly easy to get it used to. It felt much more natural than my old stance, so my legs weren't as sore at the end of the day. It was a very helpful and comfortable change.

Two things really impressed me about the new stance. The first was how it simply felt so natural; I didn't need to take time getting used to it at all because it just worked. The second thing I realized was that I got less tired. After a full day of riding I still wanted to go out and ride some more, whereas in the past I was so beat I could barely walk when I was out all day. All in all I'm super satisfied with the change in my stance, and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been given such a great opportunity by Sean.

I had never been able to find a stance that I absolutely loved. I always felt like the back of my board was not as responsive as it could’ve been or that I would be twisting my ankles in all sorts of weird ways. I have changed my stance a few times over the years and it slowly got better and better. The stance that I had before going on Sean's machine was the best that I could find for myself but once I changed it to the stance found by the machine I noticed a huge difference. My board did exactly what I told it to do and I was noticeably less sore and fatigued. I also felt like my knees and ankles were supported in the correct alignment. This machine is just as cool as it sounds! I am excited to finally be able to ride with more comfort that I ever have before.

Before using the machine, I had had the same board stance for years and figured I was pretty comfortable with it. After getting my new stance though, my overall balance, mobility, and control on the board improved greatly. Suddenly it was so much easier to turn, jump, and twist than before. I’m so happy I got the chance to use the machine and get the stance that fits perfectly with my bone structure and is just for me. I highly recommend snowboarders of all levels to use this machine. Thanks Sean!

It was 6 months after the fact that I had the opportunity to go riding with the adjustment I had made to my stance with the results from Stancefind. The results were immediately obvious. I found my legs after a couple of runs, and was soon riding with a level of comfort and confidence that would have taken a few days in the past. It was incredible how the subtle changes made to my stance left me with a new level of control that I found very natural feeling. Riding felt much smoother and carving seemed more effortless. It really took my ability to another level as I could spend more energy in other areas rather than exerting it all on basic maneuvers.
I only wish I had the chance to use a stancefind sooner, as it would have saved me a lot of time as well as a lot of pain!
I have been snowboarding about 4 times, each time hiring a board and so my stance would have been different every time. After having my stance corrected, I found that snowboarding felt a lot more natural than it had before, I could ride for longer as my legs didn’t get as tired, I had more control when turning then board, which gave with the confidence to then progress to jumping.
I would recommend this machine to all boarders how ever comfortable they already feel on the board!!!

I have lived in Summit County, Colorado for almost 5 years and had never snowboarded until about a month ago. I went a few times with my boyfriend and was completely unsuccessful. I had no idea whether or not I was right or left foot forward and I was terrified of getting onto my toe side. After 3 days of trying, my boyfriend's mom introduced me to Sean and the StanceFind machine.
At first I was skeptical about using it because it looked like a piece of an arcade game. After about fifteen minutes of turning dials and trying to balance myself, I had discovered my perfect stance. Sean said that in no time I would be making turns and snowboarding like a pro.
The next morning I went out with my board perfectly set up and as soon as I got off the lift, the very first time, I made two turns. I was not afraid of getting on my toe side because of how balanced my body was. It felt completely natural to me. After two hours I was turning and making my way down the mountain.
Thanks to Sean and the StanceFind, I have learned to snowboard and enjoy doing it whenever I can. Without this machine it would have taken me MONTHS to learn! :)

I believed myself to be a non snowboarder after cracking my tailbone. I was still doubtful about the device while trying on the unsteady board machine. But it amazed me as to how comfortable it was once I've got the right angle (position?) and images of myself sliding on the snow just came out!! Try this great device!!

When I saw the machine my fist time, I thought it cannot be possible that it works.
Then I stood on it and I could feel how I find my balance.
In my view, everybody who is snowboarding should stand on it and feel it by themself.

To Whom It May Concern,
I wanted to add a few comments regarding my experience with the StanceFind machine. I have been snowboarding for 8 years now. Fortunately, I have had no major spills or accidents. However, I have always wondered if my snowboard stance and footing was correct.
After using the StanceFind machine I am completely confident that my riding position, regular stance, is correct. I also know the correct angles and stance width, which not only feel the most comfortable, but give me complete control of the board. Next winter I will adjust my bindings setting them at the angles and binding width recommended by the StanceFind machine. Thank you and good luck Sean.

Being a skier at heart, I have never felt completely comfortable standing sideways going down the hill. Up until this last season I was unaware that a stance change could make a difference in your riding. As I began fooling around with my angles and width I could immediately feel the changes they created. One run I could hardly make an effective turn, the next I would be completely off balance, and the next my ankle would hurt so badly I would wince in pain all the way to the bottom. Given the numerous possibilities, it was very frustrating tying to find that perfect position.
Fortunately for me, I was introduced to Sean MacCarron who guided me to the light at the end of the tunnel. Initially i was skeptical to say the least. How could this funny looking machine tell me anything about how I ought to ride? Well, after standing on that ridiculously unstable platform for close to half an hour, I discovered the answer. As he made the visually undetectable changes, my legs became more and more still, until finally they were at ease and the platform became stable. Although I couldn't believe it at first, after the fact I couldn't be more impressed. I honestly can't wait to try out my new stance on the hill. Less than two months until opening day!!!
I have been snowboarding for 6 years and in preparation for boardercross Sean re-adjusted my stance to 12° in the front and 6° in the rear. This subtle change made a huge difference – I feel much more stable and my riding has progressed tremendously in the last four weeks since the adjustment. Thanks Sean!
