The purchase of our StanceFind machine has been a huge success. I would heartily recommend this machine to any shop or resort that is interested in providing the best customer service and furthering the sport of snowboarding.
Our staff quickly became familiar with its operation and subtle nuances in readings, and from that point on they were kept very busy.
The machine provided a focal point in our shop as once someone was being aligned it became quite a conversation piece.
In a sport that is not known for doing anything by “hard numbers” the StanceFind machine proved that boarders will become better riders by finding their specific degrees and spread, and adjusting their setup accordingly.
We found that veteran boarders were as happy with the changes to their stance as were people relatively new to the sport. It really does make snowboarding easier and less demanding.
We used the machine to provide 3 levels of product.
Level 1 was alignment and giving the customer their numbers to do their own adjustment.
Level 2 was alignment and we adjusted the bindings for the customer. (most popular)
Level 3 was alignment, adjustment, and then a lesson with a Pro from the Board School.
Our machine paid for itself in the first couple of months. It was also instrumental in getting follow on business while the operator was setting up bindings for the customer.
The machine has proven to be easy to operate and quite sturdy. Maintenance comes down to a few minutes spent cleaning and the occasional application of spray lube.

Alright man, you told me write a testimonial so here I am. Im writing to express my gratitude to you, Sean, for introducing me to a machine like this. My Australian buddy Trent ran over to me and said "dude, you've gotta check this thing out over at Totems" (totems being our sister store in town.) So I ran over and started talkin to you about your invention StanceFind. After trying it out I've noticed that it's made quite an improvment on my snowboarding, it's nice to see where my stance angles and width actually should be according to my body. Being that I've just bagged my first season on Marmot Basin our ski hill here in beautiful Jasper Alberta Canada, I don't know that much about the sport. And it seems that untill now, the only way to ensure a proper stance for a snowboarder was to push them forward and see which foot is the first to shoot out and catch yourself. So I just wanted to say thanks alot for bringing some sweet technology to the sport that helps us beginners and wish you good luck in the future.

As a professional ski boot fitter for Surefoot and part of the Roxy Mountain Project, as well as having skied for 22 years and snowboarded for eight, I have seen both sports progress. In my time at Surefoot I have worked with many snowboarders, alpine, freestyle and free ride. Just as better equipment helps us excel, understanding how to use our gear can help even more. When I snowboarded I remember switching up my stance frequently, feeling like I could be more efficient, but not knowing how to find that stance.
Sean had told me of his Stancefind machine and I had the pleasure of introducing him to a friend of mine who rides. I watched Sean begin to make adjustments while Tim (aka Tim Davis of allus snowboard magazine) was standing on the machine. All of a sudden, it was as if someone had handed Tim a million dollar check. His eyes lit up and you could see him charging down a slope like he'd never done before, and this was all after only the width adjustment. Sean went on to dial in the front and back angles. I rode with Tim the first day on his new stance. He had told me how skeptical he was, but at the bottom of our first run as we entered the maze, he yelled 'I could kiss that man'! He felt more stable, a pain in his back was eliminated and his riding overall has improved.
It is a relief to finally see something a little more scientific to help you set your stance then 'have a friend push you from behind'. I may even consider strapping back onto a board...

I am writing to you to share my excitement about your StanceFind machine with you. As a boot-fitter who deals a great deal with alignment and stance issues in both skiers and snowboarders, we see the need for something like this everyday! It is a pleasure to see a device as accurate and simple as yours that can help people find the right stance for their needs. More often than not, a snowboarder’s boot problems are related to their stance, not their boots. Until your machine, there was no way to accurately tell someone where there most balanced stance is, so their feet don’t need to do all the work. As has been proven by the numerous people who have already been measured on your machine (including myself) these results are immediate and substantial! I wish you all the best in spreading the word to the world. Your enthusiasm for your work and life will no doubt bring you and your machine far!

Finding that perfect stance can be one of those things you change a hundred times in a season and never really know if it is just right for you. The Stancefind will get you balanced on the board and your stance just right in a couple of minutes. It finds your "happy place" on the board.
Earlier in the summer i had the privilege to stand on The Stancefind and with Sean's help he got me dialed in and found my "happy place". I could see the difference and could feel the difference. Before I got on The Stancefind I was at 18 degrees left foot, -12 degrees right foot with 24 inch wide stance, now after getting balanced, I am at 15 degrees left, -15 degrees right with a 21 inch wide stance. A big difference that has helped to get me to that next level in snowboarding.
This tool is not only ideal for snowboarding, but as an avid wakeboarder I can say that it will get you balanced and in your "happy place" no matter what kind of surface your boarding on.
